About the Founder:
Dr. P. Chandrasekaran
M.B.B.S., F.A.G.E
A visionary medical professional, Dr. Chandrasekaran began his career with a four-year tenure at Catherine Booth Hospital. In 1972, driven by a desire to bring quality medical care to the local community, he established Chandrasekaran Hospital with just 15 beds. Known for his dedication, kindness, and surgical expertise, Dr. Chandrasekaran served as the backbone of the hospital until his passing in 2002, leaving behind a legacy of healing and trust.
Our Journey:
Starting as a small neighborhood hospital, Chandrasekaran Hospital quickly earned the community’s confidence. With consistent care and focused medical services, the hospital grew both in reputation and capacity. In 1980, the hospital was shifted to its current location near the Sub Collector’s Office — still close to its roots. After Dr. Chandrasekaran’s passing in 2002, the hospital leadership transitioned to the next generation, continuing the legacy with new advancements and expanded services.

Starting the practice from 2009, Dr. Pratheeba is an accomplished anesthetist and family physician. With her background in both anesthesia and internal medicine, she has strengthened the hospital’s family care services, contributing to its holistic and well-rounded approach to healthcare.
The Hospital Today:
Now upgraded to a 25-bedded facility, Chandrasekaran Orthopedic Hospital features modern medical infrastructure while maintaining the warmth of a family-run institution. Our facilities include a Laminar Flow Operation Theatre, Post-Operative ICU, In-House Lab, Physiotherapy, ECG, Digital X-Ray, Ventilator Support, and Pharmacy, ensuring end-to-end care for every patient.
